Drug Trafficking
In addition to possible significant jail time, fines, and a criminal record, having a trafficking charge can interfere with your ability to enter into other countries such as the U.S.A. or overseas. As well, having such a serious charge could prove more challenging to have pardoned, and may serve as a greater barrier to employment versus lesser charges.
Consequences of Getting a DUI
In addition to possible jail time and criminal record, a Driving Under the Influence charge can also lead to the loss of the ability to drive a motor vehicle, even in cases where a vehicle is necessary for employment or for taking care of children or dependents.
As well, if someone has been charged with refusing to provide a breathalyzer sample, they could face even greater consequences than if they had consented and ultimately were found to be over the legal limit.
