Manitoba Provincial Nominee – Skilled Worker Overseas Stream – Human Capital Pathway

The Manitoba Express Entry (EE) Pathway is for candidates with skills, training, and experience related to Manitoba’s In-demand Occupations list and a strong family connection to Manitoba.

Do you have at least six months work experience in an occupation on the Manitoba In-Demand Occupations List and a relative who has resided in Manitoba as a Permanent Resident or Canadian citizen for at least one year?

Manitoba Expression of Interest Process

Manitoba’s EOI system involves three main steps:

In step one, potential candidates make an expression of interest regarding immigrating to Manitoba by creating an online profile. The profiles of eligible candidates are placed in the Manitoba EOI pool with other candidates and are awarded scores based on answers provided. Candidates are ranked according to the MPNP Ranking Points system and given a score out of a maximum of 1,000.

In step two, the highest-scoring candidates are invited to apply to the MPNP. When a candidate is selected from the EOI pool, the candidate receives a Letter of Advice to Apply (LAA). After receiving a LAA, candidates will have only sixty (60) days to submit a complete and correct application to the province of Manitoba.

In step three, after being granted a nomination from the Province of Manitoba, a candidate then submits his or her complete paperwork to Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) and applies for Canadian permanent residence. Our firm would be pleased to assist you with all three stages of this process.

Eligibility Criteria for MPNP Candidates

To be eligible for the Skilled Worker Overseas stream, candidates must:

  • Obtain a minimum of 60 points out of 100 in Manitoba’s five-factor points assessment grid; and
  • Demonstrate an established connection to Manitoba, either through the support of a close relative, or by having previous education or work experience in the province, or by receiving a LAA directly from the MPNP as part of a Strategic Recruitment Initiative; and
  • Have at least 6 months of work experience in an occupation that is ‘In-demand’ by the province of Manitoba. We can discuss with you whether your employment experience meets an occupation listed on the In Demand list, which is being continually updated to meet the labour market needs within the Province.
  • Have completed a minimum of one post-secondary program of at least one year (Canadian equivalent); and
  • Demonstrate the requisite language proficiency for their occupation by way of a standardized English or French language test acceptable to the Canadian government. A Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) of 7 is required for Regulated Occupations, a CLB of 6 is required for Compulsory Trades, and a CLB of 5 is required for all other eligible Managerial, professional or technical occupations.

Our Service

Our goal is to work with you to maximize your chance of obtaining permanent residence status in Canada. Working with you to achieve this includes:

  1. Submission of an accurate profile and avoid mistakes and errors misrepresentation (Manitoba PNP has a strict policy that an applicant who misrepresents facts or information in their application may be subject to a two-year ban from re-applying under the MPNP);
  2. Guidance to obtain the necessary documentation, such as language test results;
  3. Thorough review of employment history and credentials, so that all possible MPNP ranking points are achieved in the profile;
  4. Preparation of supporting documents in advance so that if an LAA is received the strict 60 day timeframe to submit the full application is easily met.
