Temporary Resident Visa (TRV) and Business Visas
A Temporary Resident Visa is a document issued by a visa office and placed in an individual’s passport to show that they have met all of the requirements to be considered a temporary resident in Canada.
As part of the process, the officer issuing the TRV must be satisfied that the foreign national applying for status will leave the country at the end of the authorized period for their stay.
There is a checklist of documents required to apply for a TRV, and in some cases, biometrics may be required as part of the process. In addition, other documents may be required depending on the circumstances, such as a letter of invitation, evidence of links to home countries, or a written explanation for the trip.
